Story Circles

Story Circles with the Finding Human Project create transformative spaces where groups can foster connection, resilience, and empathy through storytelling. Rooted in the Hero’s Journey framework, these workshops empower participants to navigate challenges, build trust, and strengthen community identity. By hosting a Story Circle, you provide a powerful opportunity for your team or organization to develop deeper communication skills, enhance collaboration, and inspire meaningful engagement. Whether you’re a school, nonprofit, or community group, these workshops offer a lasting impact—helping individuals see themselves as part of a larger story while creating a culture of shared growth and understanding.

Through interactive experiences, participants explore their own narratives while gaining practical strategies to support others.

  • Build Resilience – Use storytelling to process challenges, develop emotional strength, and foster self-discovery.

  • Strengthen Community – Engage in meaningful story circles that deepen connections and mutual understanding.

  • Gain Practical Tools – Walk away with actionable strategies to bring into classrooms, workplaces, and communities.

  • Celebrate Diverse Journeys – Honor unique experiences and perspectives to create more inclusive environments..

Hero’s Journey Playshop

Our Workshops are perfect for team building, especially helping the helpers: non-profit workers, health care workers, education workers. Through various guided techniques, including theater and other movement-based art forms, participants will use play and improvisation to explore their personal and collective narratives.

Some comments we’ve heard: “We immediately started using the tools we learned in the workshop.

We want to make this part of our staff meetings.”

Devised Theater

Our fully devised theater projects like “Hope in River City” offer a way for a community to tell their stories. Created by the community for the community, these pieces resonate and help amplify the often untold stories of each other.

A blanket fort time machine created for all adults to reengage in creativity, curiosity, and community.

Enter into the world of pirates, dinosaurs, or… dinosaur pirates? A 15-minute guided journey that reconnects you to your community and sense of wonder.

Play Along the Line

We love play and discovery, and hate waiting in line. When Our Place Spokane asked us to help out with their service line, we hoped to make it just a bit more fun to stand in line, and to hear some stories.

Boy did we! Not only did people love making things and sharing their stories, they loved the opportunity to tell Our Place how much they appreciate them.

Play along the line serves two sets of people: those waiting for services, and those giving those services. Contact Diana for more information on bringing this to your place of service.
