Some of our feedback…
“I think this workshop heps you realize how not-alone you are…”
“Those of us who took it [the workshop] definitely had all if not most of those exercises on our minds the next two weeks, at least.”
Rehearsing Compassionate Response
Under pressure, we do what we’ve practiced.
In this workshop, we practice difficult situations, break them down, apply three kinds of awareness to ask “what if” and together, evolve multiple, mindful responses to improve our service to self and community.
Participants will leave with a common vocabulary and a methodology to look at challenging situations as opportunities to grow, and support each other.
This is a great team-building exercise, perfect for those in danger of “server burnout” - non profit staff, medical, teaching.
multiple lengths available: 90 minutes, 4 hours or ongoing extended practice. Contact Diana for more info.
Meeting Your Inner Bully
Internal bully, critical parent, the panel in your head, devil on your shoulder, … soo many names for the voices in our heads that stop us from being who we really want to be.
Who are they and why are they there? Are they us?
Using theatre and physical storytelling tools, come discover this inner critic, and what they have to say. We will create a safe place to bring this bully out, and give them a starring role in their own scene. Are they the misunderstood hero, or the bad guy?
Participants will leave with an expanded toolbox to mindfully find some freedom in moving life in the direction they want.
Multiple lengths available: 90 minutes, 4 hour workshop, or ongoing story development. Contact Diana for more info.
Devised Storytelling
Using research, interviewing, experimentation and collaboration, participants bring their own unique stories, viewpoints and materials on a topic.
We then guide them through an exploration process using movement and elements (such as light, props, music, sound, creative art forms) to discover many ways to tell a story. While these stories MAY end up written on the page, these stories start in our bodies, on our feet, and in our voices.
Think improv meets dance, poetry and wonder.
Great for family stories, team building, corporate story, marketing, writers, anyone wanting to play with story.
Length: 3 - 12 hours, depending on end product.
